Meet the Doctors

Dr. Sean Aiken is from Atlanta, Georgia, and brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. Dr. Aiken was an NCAA Division 1 athlete and team captain at The College of William & Mary in Virginia where he lettered for four years in baseball. He is a member of the Wall of Fame at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School and was selected as a “40 Under 40” winner at William in Mary in 2022.

 Dr. Aiken obtained a master’s degree from Louisville's Medical School in Physiology and Biophysics before continuing on to Louisville's Dental School where he earned an additional master's degree in Oral Biology and his doctorate. While in school, Dr. Aiken earned the Community Outreach Scholarship and James C. Moore Scholarship for his academics and passion for community service. He is very involved with dentistry’s top professional organization, being chosen as the District-6 trustee for the New Dentist Committee of the American Dental Association in 2020 and sits on the Louisville Dental Society Board as their investments chair. He was recently selected into the American College of Dentists which recognizes dentists who are “Advancing excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in dentistry” and the Pierre Fauchard Academy which “honors and celebrates the people who make outstanding contributions to the progress and standing of the dental profession.” He is the current President of the ULSD Alumni Association and loves his Louisville Cardinals.

Dr. Aiken is an acclaimed lecturer for the American Student Dental Association and enjoys speaking to dental students around the country about office leadership and maintaining a private practice despite the entry of corporate dentistry and private equity in dentistry. His areas of interest and additional training are in cosmetic dentistry, training alongside some of the greatest clinicians in the world on minimal and no prep veneers, along with clear aligner orthodontics and implant dentistry. Dr Aiken is a self-proclaimed "dental nerd" and is constantly reading up on new and innovative technologies to bring to the office in order to ensure excellent patient outcomes. Dr Aiken and Dr Wilson have been on four service trips to foreign countries to serve those in need and have been close friends and colleagues since their time in dental school. When not at the office, he enjoys working on house projects and spending time with his wife, Taylor, their two daughters, Charlotte and Collins, and their English Shepherd, Tucker.

Dr. Taryn Wilson is a second-generation general dentist. She was born and raised just down the river in Owensboro, Kentucky, where her mother and father owned their own dental practice for over 30 years. Because of this, Dr. Wilson not only spent much of her childhood in a dental office but also spent a lot of time talking about teeth, patient care, and running a thriving dental practice in the evenings around her family’s dinner table. She saw her first patient when she was around 10 years old, helping her mother out when a patient had a dental emergency over a weekend. It was the example of her parents, and being able to see first-hand the incredible impact great dentistry can have on patients, that set her down the path of pursuing her own dental career.  

Dr. Wilson graduated magna cum laude from Western Kentucky University before completing her dental studies at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2018. During her time in dental school, she maintained excellence in her clinical and academic work while serving as a Community Outreach Scholar in underserved areas across Kentucky, helping lead four dental service trips to Jamaica, volunteering at the Free Smiles Clinic with the Louisville Dental Society, and serving in leadership positions within student government. At graduation, she was given the Award for Excellence in Community Service and Preventative Dental Care by the Louisville Dental Society.  

After graduation, Dr. Wilson made it her mission to continue educating herself about all the best practices in dentistry. She attends many seminars and courses throughout the year to ensure that we provide nothing but excellence in clinical dentistry, with a special focus in cosmetics. She is also a member of the esteemed local Seattle Study Club. In her free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with her husband, Dylan, and their children, Salem and Lennon. She is an avid reader and international and domestic traveler and loves spending time outside hiking and at her family’s home at Rough River Lake.
